Why this product
Why air ride
A solid steel connection transmits every road impact into your truck and your trailer. This hitch pivots on an adjustable air spring instead: the bag compresses with the hit, absorbing the energy at the connection. You set the pressure once to match your load — firmer for heavy highway hauls, softer for a smoother ride. It is the difference between arriving worn out and arriving ready.
- Tune pressure to the load — one adjustment
- Reduces bounce, chucking and jerking at the source
- Protected cargo, calmer trailer, less driver fatigue

Installation
- 01Measure receiver height and trailer coupler height with the truck loaded as you tow.
- 02Set drop: choose the pin hole that levels the trailer — the configurator suggests one for your rig.
- 03Slide the shank into the receiver, pin it, attach the ball mount and safety chains.
- 04Tune: set air pressure to match tongue weight (air ride models), re-check after loading.
Questions, answered from the data
Which receivers does it fit?
It fits 2″ receiver tubes. Measure the inside opening of your receiver tube if you are unsure — most half-ton trucks are 2″, many 3/4- and 1-ton trucks are 2″ or 2-1/2″.
How much drop do I need?
This configuration covers 2″ to 8″ of drop. Measure receiver height and coupler height with the truck loaded as you tow; the difference is the drop you need to keep the trailer level.
Is it rated for my trailer?
It is rated for 14,000 lb gross trailer weight. Compare your loaded trailer weight — water, gear and cargo included — against the rating, and keep tongue weight within the stated limit. Use the “Check my truck” panel above for an explained answer.
How does the air pressure work?
An onboard air spring sits between the shank and the ball mount. You inflate it with a standard compressor to match your tongue weight: more air for heavy loads and highway stability, less air for a softer ride. A pressure guide ships with the product.
What is the warranty?
1-year limited warranty plus a 60-day smooth-towing guarantee with free returns — the manufacturer stands behind the ride.
Is this the official Shocker Hitch store?
No. This is an independent concept demonstration built to show a better way to present and configure towing products. Specifications shown are compiled from public sources.
