Installation

  1. 01Measure receiver height and trailer coupler height with the truck loaded as you tow.
  2. 02Set drop: choose the pin hole that levels the trailer — the configurator suggests one for your rig.
  3. 03Slide the shank into the receiver, pin it, attach the ball mount and safety chains.
  4. 04Tune: set air pressure to match tongue weight (air ride models), re-check after loading.

Which receivers does it fit?

It fits 2″, 2-1/2″, 3″ receiver tubes. Measure the inside opening of your receiver tube if you are unsure — most half-ton trucks are 2″, many 3/4- and 1-ton trucks are 2″ or 2-1/2″.

How much drop do I need?

This configuration covers 0″ to 4″ of drop. Measure receiver height and coupler height with the truck loaded as you tow; the difference is the drop you need to keep the trailer level.

Is it rated for my trailer?

It is rated for 10,000 lb gross trailer weight. Compare your loaded trailer weight — water, gear and cargo included — against the rating, and keep tongue weight within the stated limit. Use the “Check my truck” panel above for an explained answer.
